Born Again

A Visual Journey Of Sexuality And Desire

Life’s grand pilgrimage is seldom a straight road – even for members of the queer community. From careers to cohabiting, we’re taken on unexpected twists and turns. After an unforeseen encounter, Stacey Bennett’s concept of sexuality was rocked to the core. She embarked on a tumultuous journey, ultimately ending her where she started. Born Again explores concepts of identity, sexuality and what happens when a waterfall of pent-up desire, lust and feeling is denied. A moving artistic exhibition, all are invited to participate in a visual journey of love, heartache and passion presented at St Kilda’s gorgeous Pumpkin Lane Studio.

Lesbian-focused, viewers will be taken on a roller coaster journey of emotions – confronted with depictions of love, sex and fantasy. The artwork will touch, provoke and challenge the viewer to think about their own behaviour towards the people they love. Fuelled by the new twists and turns of her life, Stacey Bennett brings a show that’s not to be missed.

Opening night includes free wine and flowing conversation and the opportunity to purchase artwork will be available during the entire exhibition period.
